HIGHLEY IN BLOOM 2026 – WINNERS ANNOUNCED AT THE CARNIVAL!
Saturday 4th July – Highley Carnival & Fete
We’re excited to announce that the winners of this year’s Highley in Bloom 2026 competitions will be revealed live at the Carnival on 4th July!
Three fantastic categories are open this year, each celebrating the creativity, pride, and green‑fingered talent across our village:
1. Best Planter Competition
Show us your most colourful, creative, and beautifully maintained planter!
Prize: £30 Lealans Garden Centre voucher
2. Best Hanging Basket Competition
All entrants will receive a FREE hanging basket from Highley Parish Council to plant up and return for judging.
Just collect your basket and complete a simple entry form to take part.
Prize: £30 Lealans Garden Centre voucher
3. Best Allotment Plot 2026
All tenants from Silverdale, Hagg Corner, and Hitchens Way allotment sites will be automatically entered.
Judging will focus on cultivation, tidiness, environmental care, and overall presentation.
Prize: £30 Lealans Garden Centre voucher

Members of the Public and Press are welcome to attend any meetings of the Parish Council or its Committees, although there are occasions when meetings must go into private session when dealing with matters of a confidential nature.

Speaking at a Meeting - You do not have the right to speak at a meeting unless invited to do so by the Council.  If you wish to speak then you must contact the Clerk beforehand or make yourself known to the Clerk at the start of the meeting.
