Highley Parish Council would like to thank all residents who attended the public planning meeting held at the Severn Centre on Tuesday 22 September. The turnout was excellent, and it was clear how strongly our community feels about the future of Highley and the importance of being properly informed.

A number of councillors were present, representing around 75% of Highley Parish Council, providing visible support and reassurance to residents throughout the evening. Councillors stepped in to answer many of the questions raised, particularly where the Boyer team were unable to provide clarity. We are proud that residents were able to see their elected representatives standing with them, offering guidance and advocating for their concerns.

While the information provided by Boyer was limited, the meeting reinforced the value of strong local representation and the importance of residents continuing to engage with the planning process. Highley Parish Council will ensure that accurate information is shared as soon as formal planning documents are submitted, and we will continue to support parishioners in understanding how to make effective, valid planning comments.
