Public Update: Netherton Lane Consultation
24th August 2026

Highley Parish Council is aware of the developer‑led public consultation regarding the proposed residential development at Netherton Lane.
We have been informed that the QR code link has been experiencing issues since Friday, which has prevented some residents from submitting comments. The developer has confirmed this is now being fixed and that they have already received a number of responses over the weekend. Due to the disruption, they have indicated that the consultation deadline will be extended beyond 9th September.
We are also aware that many households did not receive the consultation letter, likely due to ongoing postal delays in the area. We have raised this with the developer to ensure clearer communication going forward.
The Parish Council will hold its regular monthly Planning Committee meeting at 6:00pm on Tuesday 1 September in the Library at the Severn Centre.
This is not a meeting with the developer.
It is the standard monthly committee meeting held prior to Full Council.
Public Meeting with the Developer
The developer has advised that they are unable to attend on 1 September. A separate public meeting will therefore be arranged, and the date will be announced as soon as it is confirmed. We have requested that this meeting takes place before the end of the consultation period.
How to Respond
Residents are encouraged to submit their views directly through the consultation website once the QR code is fully restored. Written responses can also be sent by email or post, as stated in the consultation letter.
We will continue to share updates on our website and social media pages as soon as new information becomes available.
